Think about it. A person stops in the street, seeing something in the sky, and he raises his arm, points, and announces to all within hearing range, "Look, up in the sky! It's a bird!" A person nearby, hearing the man, does not think "Big fricking deal! What, you never seen a bird before? Where did you expect it to be, anyway, buried up to its neck in the ground?" but instead thinks that maybe the first person is delusional; the object in the sky is obviously some kind of aircraft. And yet as though he had never heard the first person's establishment that the object was avian in nature, he exclaims, "It's a plane!" And then finally, one last person decides to join in on the debate. However, this last individual can clearly see that the object in question is neither bird nor plane; it is a man with the ability to fly. Confident in the belief that she isn't suffering from any kind of mental illness and determined to override the system that puts no faith in the human imagination, she voices her inclination without fear; "It's Superman!"
